2. Data and purposes
We may process data provided when a user creates an account, places an order, requests support or submits a form, together with technical security data and, where consent is required, analytics and cookie-related data.
- Manage accounts, orders, payments, invoicing, licences and downloads.
- Meet tax, accounting and legal obligations.
- Handle enquiries, support and complaints.
- Prevent fraud, abuse and unauthorised access.

3. Legal bases
Processing may rely on performance of a contract or pre-contractual steps, compliance with legal obligations, legitimate interests relating to security and fraud prevention, and consent where required.
4. Recipients and service providers
Data may be processed by providers required to operate the shop and website, including hosting, email, e-commerce, payment, security, analytics and consent-management services. Payment data is transmitted to the relevant payment provider; Wisdom Tales Books does not store full card numbers.
The website currently uses services including WordPress/WooCommerce, Hostinger hosting, Stripe when enabled for payments, Google Site Kit and Google Analytics for measurement where applicable, Google AdSense for advertising when enabled, Google Privacy & Messaging as the consent-management platform, and WPForms for forms. Providers process data under their applicable terms and agreements.
5. International transfers
Some providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where applicable, recognised transfer mechanisms such as adequacy decisions or Standard Contractual Clauses will be used.
6. Retention
Data is retained for as long as necessary to manage the contractual relationship and thereafter for the periods required by tax, accounting, consumer-protection and legal-claims rules. Enquiries are retained as needed to handle them; account data while the account remains active and for applicable legal periods afterwards; cookie data according to the retention information shown in the consent manager.
7. Rights
Where applicable, individuals may exercise rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction and portability, and may withdraw consent without affecting prior lawful processing. Requests may be sent to iyobosa@wisdomtalesbooks.com. Individuals may also lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD).
8. Cookies
The website uses a consent-management system to provide information and, where required, obtain permission before non-essential cookies are set. Users can review or change their choices through the cookie-preference panel available on the website.

The store is intended for purchasers with sufficient legal capacity to enter into contracts. Where a work is intended for children or young readers, the purchase should be made by a responsible adult when required by law.

11. Google advertising, cookies and consent

A visitor’s choices determine which relevant Google storage and personalisation signals may be granted.

12. Children and family content
Wisdom Tales Books includes family and educational material that may be read by or with children. Reading articles does not require registration or the submission of personal data. Purchasing, customer accounts and contact functions are intended for adults, guardians, educators or supervised use. We do not knowingly seek to collect personal information from children below the age at which parental consent is required under applicable law. If a parent or guardian believes that a child has submitted personal information without appropriate consent, they may contact us so that the matter can be reviewed.
